SALT - Astronomy in South Africa | Tomorrow Today

The South African Astronomical Observatory is located in the western part of the Republic of South Africa on the Karoo plateau. In the midst of the complex is the largest optical telescope in the Southern Hemisphere: the South African Large Telescope, or SALT.
