Jan.31, 2011 As we all know by now, fitness icon Jack LaLanne passed away at the age of ninety seven years of age on Jan 23, 2011. Jack LaLanne is the reason why the fitness and wellness industry is where it is today. If it were not for the many accomplishments of the "Man of Steel", I feel that it is safe to say that many more Americans would be obese. I recently came across talk show radio host Rush Limbaugh's transcripts the day after his passing. Needless to say, I am completely dumb founded by the mindless statements Mr. Limbaugh had to say to his listeners about Jack's lifestyle preferences. To say that dying at ninety seven years old proves that Jack's health philosophy was bull is just crazy, LOL! Mr.Limbaugh also claims fruits and veggies are useless, and that second hand cigarette smoke is not deadly at all. As we know Jack was a vegetarian and a "Juice man" enthusiast, and to pass away at the age of ninety seven while enjoying a life full of energy and athleticism is simply remarkable.
