Rudy Hermann Guede (pronounced GWAY-duh) uploaded this video to YouTube on February 16, 2007, less than nine months before he murdered Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy.
This is a mirror of Guede's video. The original video, uploaded via his YouTube account rudyhermann, and entitled "boy in da house," can be found here:

Guede's original description for this video was "guy at home" and his only tags were "house boy black."
At 1:27, Guede says "I'm a vampire. I'm Dracula. I'm gonna suck your blood."
The audio is slightly out of synch with the video; it was like that on Guede's original upload.
Guede was a known criminal. Prior to killing Meredith Kercher, he was caught several times breaking into buildings intending to burglarize them. He invariably carried a knife, and in at least one case he physically threatened the homeowner whose home he had just burglarized. On at least three of these prior occasions, he entered through the window, just like at Meredith and Amanda's house, and in at least one case threw a rock through the window first. This article chronicles Guede's multiple burglaries in the weeks leading up to murdering Meredith: http://goo.gl/ymGZJE
Guede attacked and killed Kercher in her apartment on November 1 or 2, 2007. Most likely, Kercher came home to discover Guede in the process of burglarizing her apartment. After killing Kercher, Guede promptly fled Italy by train. He was apprehended in Germany on November 20 after being tracked by logging into his Skype and Facebook accounts.
On October 28, 2008, Guede was convicted of sexually assaulting and murdering Meredith Kercher. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison, which was reduced to 16 years on appeal.
I have followed the Meredith Kercher story almost since the beginning. At first, I believed the media hype that Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito were co-conspirators in the crime.
However, since then I have become aware that many of the original media stories contained several flat-out falsehoods. For instance, the media first reported that the cell phones of Guede, Knox, and Sollecito had all called each other the night of the murder. This quote, for example, makes that false accusation:
"Perplexingly, according to a police source, Knox never spoke of Guede at all, "as if he didn't exist", yet they called each other on their mobile phones both before and after the murder."
-John Follain, Sunday Times, Jan. 13, 2008 http://goo.gl/dc9uKH
It turns out that this accusation was not true whatsoever. The truth is there was never a single call between Guede's phone and theirs. Knox barely knew Guede (they had met only twice). Sollecito and Guede had never even met.
After years of closely following the case, I firmly believe that Rudy Guede acted alone in killing Meredith Kercher. He broke into her apartment with burglary in mind, and when Kercher returned to the house alone, he attacked her.
Amanda Knox is guilty of being a naive dumbass with a tin ear for reading people and for understanding how she is perceived by others. She should have never caved in to the intimidation from the police and went along with that story about her boss Patrick Lumumba to fit the police's far-fetched theory of the crime.
But being a dumbass is not the same thing as being a murderer. The far-fetched theories of the inept police and corrupt prosecutor Giuliano Mignini that incrediby got Knox and Sollecito convicted are the stuff of movies, not of real life. I am confident that the convictions of Knox and Sollecito will be overturned on appeal. The true killer is already behind bars, although unfortunately his imprisonment will not last long enough.
R.I.P. Meredith Kercher.
This 2008 documentary, entitled "Sex, Lies and the Murder of Meredith Kercher," remains the best movie yet made about the case: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQFNb...
