JOHN’S, NL), December 19, 2014 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is requesting the public’s assistance regarding a recent break and enter at a commercial business located on Blackmarsh Road in St. John’s , NL. On Wednesday, December 12, 2014 at 8:30 am RNC officers from Patrol Services Division and Forensic Identification Section responded to a call of a reported break and enter at Blackmarsh Superette located on Blackmarsh Road in St. John’s. Through the course of the investigation it has been determined that the break in occurred at 9:05 pm on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. The two suspects gained entry to the business and stole an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets. The first suspect appears to have a small, slim build and at the time of the offence they were wearing a plaid colored coat with black pants, gloves and had their face concealed. The second suspect is reported to be taller with a stocky build and at the time of the offence they were wearing a black leather jacket with a grey hoodie underneath, black pants and gloves. The RNC Criminal Investigation Division is continuing to investigate this offence and is seeking the assistance of the general public. Investigators are asking anyone with information in relation to this break, enter and theft to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can now provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com. The RNC is also issuing a reminder that any person that is in possession of stolen property can be charged criminally under the Criminal Code of Canada.
