The remains of the Rolling Mill Mine are located behind / underneath the inclined plane, here in Johnstown, PA. The inclined plane was built after the 1889 flood in order to connect the downtown area to the borough of Westmont for further residential development. Today, the inclined plane is mainly a tourist attraction. It does hold the record for the worlds steepest vehicular inclined plane. It is designed to hold both people and vehicles. Johnstown was built within a flood valley and our towns history has witnessed the horror of devastating floods. In the floods of 1936 and 1977, the inclined plane was used to rescue people and take them to the safety of higher ground. So this location has witnessed a lot of emotional activity. The inclined plane was used by the miners, both before and after the explosion. I'm sorry that the sound and video SUCK. The camera I got takes excellent photos, but the videos come out crappy. Looking into getting a camcorder, perhaps. I want to make a whole series of these videos. Showing everyone the haunted locations in Johnstown.
