Roland Fantom RPS Tutorial, for seamless patch switching,У вашего броузера проблема в совместимости с HTML5
Hi, I'm Bren heres a tutorial for you to be able to start Using RPS to turn off and on the separate sounds within your performance smoothly" My Voice is quiet so here are written instructions as well, I hope this help you, The easy way to do this previously was to the use the mute feature within the performance settings But this has it's problems because unlike RPS it's not a smooth transition Programming the systex and using RPS is far better and only takes around ten minutes to set up a good basic setting that is then permanently saved within the fantoms memory or on a memory card, Ready to be recalled at any time So let's give it a shot, What I've done is created a test performance using 4 of the 16 available tracks, On Track 1 Is piano Track 2 light strings Track 3 synth Track 4 organ I'm then going to program the systex so that I'm able to turn off and on any of these parts using some of the fantoms 16 orange touuch pads To make it straightforward I'm going to use the pads as follows Pad 1. Will Turn track 1 on and pad 5 will turn it off again Pad 2 turns track 2 on and pad 6will turn it off again Pad 3 turns track 3 on and pad 7 will turn it off again Pad 4 turns track 4 on and pad 8 will turn it off again I'll Demo the performance and i'll Use the old mute way to demonstrate its limitations Now lets make a start to program the systex commands Step one. Turn of track one. (this will eventually be assigned to pad 5) Press Record. Select to record to pattern 5. (PTN005, rec mode is replace, count in off, all other s set to off too, Then start and close Now goto mixer view hit part view F2 and then external F7 Uncheck the receive switch for part one and then press the stop record button. Go to song edit, to the right of the fantoms display, hit the micro edit button (f8) and you should see one set of long numbers. This is the systex command that tells the fantom to turn off part one. We need to move this block of numbers (the systex command) right to the beginning of the recording so that as soon as we eventually start to use it on the pads it works instantly. To get it to the beginning of the song move the cursor down so the numbers are highlighted and then hit the move button, It's bar position within the song will now be visible. To speed up the movement alter the numbers on the far left back to zero. Now exit the page and save this song as anything you like. I'll call it systex Now we need to repeat a similar process for the 7 other pads All we have done so far is made a start at turning off track one using what will eventually be assigned to pad 5 So let's make a command that will turn that track 1 back on that we can assign to pad 1. TRACK ONE ON, Press record. Select to record to pattern 1. Then start and close Now goto mixer view hit part view F2 and then external F7 Check the receive switch for part one and then press the stop record button Go to song edit, hit the micro edit button and there should be another set of long numbers. This is the systex command that tells the fantom to turn part 1 on. Again, we need to move this right to the beginning of the recording so that as soon as we eventually start to use it on the pads it works instantly. Remember To get it to the beginning of the song move the cursor down so the numbers are highlighted and then hit the move button, It's bar position will now be visible. To speed the movement up alter the number on the far left back to zero. Now exit the page and save this song as anything you like. That's track one nearly sorted. Now to do tracks 2 3 and 4 Track 2 off, ( this will be assigned to pad 6 later) Press record. Select to record to pattern 6 Then start and close Now goto mixer view hit part view F2 and then external F7 UnCheck the receive switch for part 2 and then press the stop record button Go to song edit, hit the micro edit button and there should be another set of long numbers. This is the systex command that tells the fantom to turn off part two. Now exit the page Track 2 on, continued on comments page (if possible), or by email if you want to contact me via youtube
