Roden 1/72 LaGG 3 - 35 series (#038) build review in pictures

This was my first Roden kit, LaGG 3-35 series in 1/72nd scale. I wasn't impressed with the quality: poor detail, fit issues, thick clear parts. The worst of all were the halves of the fuselage: uneven thickness and the port side was well warped. The reasons I bought it: ridiculously small price (under $5.00), the unavailability of choices at the time (meanwhile Eduard has issued a much better kit in 1/48 scale) and and my desire to experiment a worn out white wash. Overall I am content with the final result but the amount of work I have to pour into this build I still think is too big. Please note: I am not judging the manufacturer on the basis of a singular release. As I have seen on many reviews, their latest models show considerable improvement. Am fost prea putin impresionat de calitatea lui: detalii saracacioase, probleme de aliniere, plasticul incolor prea gros. Cele mai rele s-au dovedit a fi jumatatile fuselajului: una mai groasa decat cealalta, partea stanga deviata substantial de la axa. De ce l-am cumparat? Pretul a fost foarte ieftin (mai putin de 5 dolari), lipsa altei optiuni la vremea respectiva (intre timp Eduard a lansat un model mult mai bunla scara 1/48) si dorinta mea de a experimenta cu camuflajul temporar de iarna. Pana la urma am fost oarecum multumit cu rezultatul dar inca mai cred ca volumul de munca pus in aceasta constructie a fost prea mare. Va rog sa luati in seama: nu judec producatorul in baza unui singur model. Din cate am vazut in review-urile recente, calitatea modeleleor lor s-a imbunatatit considerabil. Sunt chiar tentat sa construiesc unul dintre Henschel-urile lor intr-o zi. Va doresc vizionare placuta si va rog sa comentati si sa subscrieti daca va face placere. La buna vedere, Gabriel
