It's special-effects day in Sam Edelston's dulcimer lab, with the David Essex classic "Rock On" running through three separate sets of electronics.
Channel A has a Cry Baby wah, octave pedal, chorus, digital delay, volume pedal (softening the attacks in the first verse), and some reverb at the amp.
I rewired channel B through a splitter. B1 is going through an auto-wah, phase shifter, and compressor-sustainer, after which it joins channel A for the delay, volume pedal, and reverb. B2 is going through two separate delays and a chorus, plus a bit of distortion.
The Appalachian dulcimer, or mountain dulcimer, is usually used for folk tunes and folk songs. The purpose of this video, and my others, is to show some of the many other things this instrument is great for. So please share this video to help spread the word.

This is the Black Wolf electric dulcimer built by Rod Matheson. It's tuned DAD, and the song is played in Em.
The song was written by David Essex. I've loved it ever since it was in the Top 40 in 1973.
