Richard III - The Tomb Design Press Conference

Leicester Cathedral has unveiled the final design of the tomb that will house Richard III's remains -- and revealed that Michael Ibsen, whose DNA was vital to the identification of the remains, has agreed to make the coffin. This is press conference held at the Cathedral on 16 June in which the Very Revd David Monteith, The Dean of Leicester, gave the first information on the plans for the reinterment of Richard III taking place in Spring 2015, including the costs and a fundraising appeal. Most fittingly, Michael Ibsen has agreed to make the coffin for his sixteen times great uncle. Michael, who works as a furniture maker, can trace his ancestors back to Richard III's sister, Anne of York. This film was produced by External Relations, University of Leicester.
