Review: S.H.Figuarts - Greeed Uva (Greeed Week Day #1)

Uva was the first released over a year ago in August of 2011. Like every single other Greeed, he was a Tamashii Web Exclusive release that cost roughly ¥3,500 before fees. At the time of Uva's release, we hadn't gotten too many monster-esque S.H.Figuarts releases, and Uva certainly set the bar in terms of sculpt. It's not only accurate in paint and sculpt to the show, it fits in scale well with OOO, and looks truly fantastic. While I love the figure, I can't help but feel disappointed with the lack of die-cast (he feels cheaply made) and the lack of accessories. He includes four additional hands, and a clear Tamashii Stage with two piles of Cell Medals that peg into the stage. No effect parts, no large amounts of hands, no additional accessories for OOO, nothing. When you buy an exclusive that feels cheaper made than most retail releases AND includes less accessories, it just tends to be a let down. That aside, like I said, the sculpt is fantastic, and if you are a fan of Uva, then I definitely recommend picking this up if you have OCC OOO or SHF OOO to pose with him. A year later, you can find him at a reasonable price on the secondary market to possibly at least get your money's worth. While it's a great sculpt, the value just isn't present.
