Registered sex offender accused of molesting girlfriend's 8-year-old granddaughter

James Freeman appeared in court on one count of child molestation. Police were contacted when the granddaughter of Freeman's girlfriend reported to her aunt that Freeman had touched her under a blanket while the victim was sleeping. A 13-year-old witness confirmed to police that she saw Freeman sitting next the victim while the victim was asleep and reach his hand under the blanket. Freeman was previously in jail for several incidents of child molestation.
