(27 Jul 2012) Syrian refugees in the Yayladagi camps in the Hatay province of Turkey were praying for a cessation of violence in their country as they attended Friday prayers.
They say they have been watching closely the recent violence in Syria's largest city Aleppo, which has been the scene of fierce fighting between government troops and anti-regime rebels.
One refugee in the Yayladagi camp, Muhammad Hussein, hopes for a Free Syrian Army victory in the city.
"The FSA (Free Syrian Army) doesn't have weapons capable of downing the fighter planes of Assad. If we had them, it would only take 48 hours for us to take the regime down. The FSA had liberated 70 percent of Aleppo," he said.
The United Nations' human rights office said on Friday that a showdown between the two sides in Aleppo is imminent.
