I was just going through the specifications wondering how different is this phone from their previous iteration. And turns out there are some significant changes that are worth looking into. Redmi 8A is a definite upgrade in terms of design, battery, and charging. But no so much when it comes to other hardware like the processor. The Snapdragon 439 is weaker compared to Snapdragon 632 available on the Redmi 7. Similarly, Redmi 8A is a facelift of the Redmi 7A. It uses the same processor but has a better design and bigger display.
