Red River Gorge Backpacking Trip - April 2017 - Matt Bass and Nick Bass
NOTE: There was nothing wrong with the AllTrails app. It works perfectly fine. I just had a major amateur hour moment and took a wrong turn at a junction of four different trails. I followed the trail marker instead of checking the app or my paper map. I'll be using the app again in the future.
As of this video, I've only been to Red River Gorge twice. One thing to note is that there are only two trail markings. The turtle mark means that you're on part of the Sheltowee Trace. A diamond mark means that you're on a main trail. It could be any main trail. That's why I ended up off course.
Another note: Parts of the Red River Gorge are so heavily traveled it's very easy to get lost because offshoot trails are as well beaten as the main trails. Pay close attention to your map and bearing.
