Rebels rally late for section baseball win

Champlin Park's very good baseball season was on the brink Monday night at CHS Field in St. Paul. The Rebels, who had lost to Totino-Grace earlier in the Section 5AAAA tournament, were down to their final three outs and trailing Centennial 3-1 heading into the last of the seventh. They didn't fold. Jeff Wehlage had a two-run single to tie the game, and Zach Loven followed with the game-winning hit to score Eric Pearson and the Rebels completed the rally for a 4-3 win. The Rebels meet Totino-Grace in the section final round Wednesday at CHS Field.
