Amateur video idea created to spark discussion about ideas for the match day experience & the barrackers end at Collingwood home games in 2015 and beyond. The idea is to bring the players and supporters together in a tribute to the history of the club. Some of the older clips show good examples of what the cheer squad and the stand can look like when some effort is put into the match day experience and the whole thing isn't sanitised by advertising agreements etc. This sort of video would be played at the MCG immediately prior to the opening bounce to rev the home team & crowd up, with the siren sounding as the music fades out. I've never edited a video before and obviously used the best quality video that I could find online, which isn't always great, but you get the idea. It's just an idea that I had. It's not official, I don't own the video or audio, it's not for profit blah blah blah. If you like it, share it with other Collingwood fans. Hopefully someone at the club or in the cheer squad sees it and takes some inspiration from it. I had fun making it :-) The soundtrack I've used is "Touch" by Australian band Noiseworks. I wanted to find something that could symbolise the players reaching out and being energised by the crowd and visa versa. If the soundtrack gets taken off this video then that's lame. Noiseworks should be happy with the free publicity.
