Raw versus Cooked Food, Which is Better? That's a loaded question which this video will answer in two parts about all useful foods. The two parts are with a crockpot, and without a crockpot. Also, this video assumes you know that you're better off insane than sane, there's a link to the explanation for that at the top right.
Let's get into it, batilisk wing, it is better cooked, as it gives extra hunger when cooked, and five extra hp, so it is worth the time cooking. It can not be used in the crock pot.
Berries, are better raw, they give one hp extra when cooked and three extra hunger, so are not worth the time cooking. But in the crockpot, they definitely should be cooked, they can be used as a filler in recipes like meatballs, making them much more effective.
Butter can not be cooked in the fire, but it can be turned into waffles in the crock pot, which is not worth cooking because the other parts can be used to make more effective recipes. Eat it alone.
Butterfly Wings, can not be cooked in the fire, but can be turned into butter muffins. It's not worth making butter muffins though, as it is faster to gather more butterfly wings and just eat them alone.
Carrot is a situational raw or cooked eat, it heals two more when cooked, so if you have a lot of them, and are low on hp, it is worth it to cook them, if not, eat them raw. Carrots can also be used to make pierogi, which is very good for healing health, so it is best to use them in the crockpot.
Banana, eat raw, these are the same as a carrot, except they count as a fruit in the crock pot, so they are not useful to cook.
Drumstick, should not be cooked, it heals one extra when put in the fire, meaning it's a waste of time to cook. But it can be used in the crockpot as a meat, making it good for many recipes.
Eggs, these can be okay if you need some quick hunger before a crockpot recipe comes up, they're not worth cooking for the few extra hunger, but if you cook them you can feed them back to a bird in a cage to get a fresh egg back. They're much better when put in the crock pot, making recipes as valuable as pierogi or bacon and eggs.
Fish, fish is the same raw and cooked, except for the spoil time, the only way to effectively get fish is from merms suiciding on stronger enemies. It's best just to eat it raw, as it rots quickly, and generally isn't worth the inventory space it takes up. It can be put in the crock pot to make fish sticks, but once again, it's a waste of inventory space.
