RARE Pre-WWI Latvian Music - Pre-Russian Revolution - PEHREENS on Metropole Records, Moscow ~1914

Pressed by Metropole Records, a Russian record company based in Moscow. They began producing records about 1910 for other folks, then about 1914, they had their own label, Metropole. They produced records under their label until the revolution in 1917 for the Russian market, which at that time, included Latvia. After the revolution, all the old decadant records were gathered up and ground into material to make more appropriate state sponsered music. These are very rare, I don't think this record was known before I started my research on it. Now it is part of the Russian Records library at: http://Russian-Records.com I found out the titles translates "FLOGGING". Don't know what the rest of the song is about, sounds like fun. I would appreciate any comments from folks with a Latvian background who can tell me more about this record and the artist. Enjoy!
