Allegro One of the finest young pianists of his generation, the now 31-year-old winner of the 2005 International Chopin Piano Competition Rafał Blechacz has now turned to Bach for his new album, available from February 10, 2017. Blechacz has been immersed in Bach since his childhood and has cultivated a strikingly natural eloquence in his mature interpretations of the composer’s keyboard works. He observes: “Of course, it’s very important to be well informed about Baroque style, but sometimes with Bach I feel it’s even more important to listen to your heart and your intuition.” Watch here Rafał Blechacz playing the 1st movement of J.S. Bach’s Italian Concerto in F Major, BWV 971, taken from his new album “Bach”. For more information about the artist please see: http://www.deutschegrammophon.com/artist/blechacz Music video for J.S.
