This is a how to video for attaching squid skirt hoochies and tinsel on jigs. For these jigs I used 2.5" and 3" squid skirts. I cut the tips off the squid skirts so there would be a hole in the top to run the jig and hook through. I got tinsel inserts and removed the collar that holds them together so I could use the desired strand amount of the tinsel. I wet the tinsel strands so that they would stick together so I can run it down the squid skirt. I then tied the tinsel to the jig using unflavored waxed dental floss. Next step is to finish sliding the squid skirt up on the jig collar just below the jig head. The final step of this process is to take nail polish then paint around the squid skirt applying thickly where it connects to the jig and continue painting the jig head. You can use whatever color nail polish you want. I used a clear color with shiny flakes in it. You will want to give these time to dry out for a few days or more to make sure the scent of the nail polish is gone. Some people say the scent of nail polish hinders fish from biting your jig.
