Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked of non-violence on January 26 and the very next day, a minister from his government raised slogans about shooting people. A day earlier, on January 25, the President of India talked about Mahatma Gandhi's message of non-violence to the youth of this country. This message was certainly not received by Union Minister Anurag Thakur, who at rally in Delhi can be seen chanting the first half of a slogan usually concluded with a call to gun down the "traitors".
