Prevention and Management of Postpartum Hemorrhage

This training video provides guidance on the clinical intervention component of Pathfinder's Clinical and Community Action to Address Postpartum Hemorrhage's (CCA/PPH) approach. It is strongly recommended that it be used in conjunction with the "Prevention, Recognition and Management of Postpartum Hemorrhage" trainer's guide, participants manual and toolkit. The video provides guidance on prevention with active management of the third stage of labor (AMTSL), standard methods for recognizing and treating excessive postpartum bleeding and hemorrhage, and use, removal, cleaning, and folding of the non-pneumatic anti-shock garment (NASG).
