The cushion profile and broad wings do make the watch wear larger than it's 40mm case size. Paired with the wide feel of this watch however is a thin 8.5mm thickness. The watch is perfect for dress and more casual occasions. The inner most link attaching the bracelet to the case actually fans out slightly, making the watch fight a smaller wrist ever so slightly and wear a little larger as well. The watch does have some heft on the wrist. Part of this is thanks to the bracelet. Looking more closely at the bracelet, you'll see that the gradual step down is so smooth, you won't be able to feel the steps like on some bracelets. Moving to the deployant clasp, it features a dual swing arm deployant along with clam shell closure, locking it on your wrist. There is a small ceramic bead on the closing side of the claps, creating a tight close so it doesn't open when on your wrist. The dial, case and bezel are all the distinguishing features on this watch. The Nautilus is the image of a porthole transferred onto a luxury watch. You can see contrasting finish, including high polish, satin and straight grain top of the bezel. Looking at the dial, you'll see a high contrast, easy to read dial. The blackened gold indices are paired with full lume to create an easy to read piece. The slight step down in the date window are also coordinated with the blackened indicies, creating a seamless look. Looking at the movement, is another extraordinary part of the watch. This watch is powered by the 324SC, center seconds and calendar. The movement features a 45hour power reserve with unidirectional winding and unlubricated high tech ceramic rotor bearings.
