A video recently surfaced containing a message sent from Pope Francis through an Anglican Episcopal Bishop, Tony Palmer, to Kenneth Copeland, in which he declared that since 1999, there is no longer a need for Protestants because of a unification of the Lutheran church and the Catholic church, in which they merged their ideas of justification. Tony Palmer asserts that now the Catholic church has the right conception of salvation and therefore the protest has ended. This message from Pope Francis is a fulfillment of Bible prophecy; that just before the enforcement of Sunday Observance, the mark of the beast, Protestant churches will unite with other denominations and with the Papacy; they will put aside their doctrinal differences. After this merger, the united churches will appeal to and influence the civil government to enforce their decrees and sustain their institutions. God-fearing, conscientious Christians cannot join with this movement; they must continue to protest unbiblical ideas, decrees, and practices. If we are taken in and deceived by the false doctrines, even of the wrong application of justification by faith, we will find ourselves worshipping the beast, his image, and receive the mark of the beast. Such persons will renounce prophecy, the judgment-hour message, the heavenly sanctuary, victory over sin, and ultimately the seventh-day Sabbath.
