Police lob teargas to disperse anti-IEBC demonstrators

Police in Nairobi fired teargas to break up protests by cord supporters outside the IEBC headquarters at anniversary towers before arresting fifteen demonstrators and impounding six motorbikes. Cord supporters also held protests in several towns including Kisumu and Machakos in the third consecutive series of demos seeking the removal of IEBC commissioners from office. Several protestors were injured and property destroyed in the chaos that unfolded as police hunted down the last of the protestors.
