Here's a fun little song I wrote/recorded last year titled "Please Call Me Baby." Sam Cooke has always been one of my favorite singers, so I wanted to try writing something that sounded like it came straight out of the 50s/60s. (Shoutout to my friend Ryan Taylor Bliss for laying down the backing vocals) Hope you like it!
LYRICS:
Call me sugar, call me your spice
Call me darling, I guess that’d be nice
But, honey, they don’t do the trick
Oh, won’t you please call me baby?
You can call me and I’ll talk all night
You could call me the love of your life
But, honey, it don’t mean a thing
Unless you’e calling me baby...
So many letters to spell what we’re trying to say
I’m thinking we should throw them all away
But those special three cause
They’re all you really need...
(B-A-B-Y...
...why don’t you..)
Call me baby and I’ll be alright
Call me nothin’ but B-A-B-Y
Cause honey, that’ll do the trick
Oh, won’t you please call me baby?
You could call me, talk to me all night
You could call me the love of your life
But, honey, it don’t mean a thing
Unless you’re calling me baby
Call me sugar, call me your spice
But they don’t do the trick
So, just say it and let’s make it stick
Oh, darlin’, even if makes you sick
Can you please call me baby?
