The Finnish aircraft are operated by the Air Force's three air commands in a passenger and light cargo movement role. The PC-12 NG, which carries the military designation PI, is well suited for a wide range of missions. The PC-12 can fly passengers and cargo in and out of small runways under rapidly changing weather and lighting conditions and, at the other end of the scale, it combines speed with good economics over long ranges. The aircraft can lift a one-ton payload in a cabin that can be reconfigured for a mixed passenger-cargo, all-passenger, or all-cargo layout. A medical transport kit is also available. The large upward-opening door in the aft fuselage facilitates loading. The PC-12 NG is certified for operations in known icing conditions. Its pressurized cabin enables high-altitude above-weather flight, which also improves fuel economy. The aircraft with three passengers has the maximum range of 2,890 km.Finnish Air Force Aircraft Fact Sheet Among its advanced features is a flight deck designed to reduce pilot workload. The Honeywell Primus Apex avionics suite displays flight, engine, and navigation information along with a vast amount of other data on user-friendly display screens. Display and system management is accomplished by "clicking the mouse." The aircraft is certified for single-pilot or two-pilot operation. When flown by a single pilot, the unoccupied crew seat can be used by a passenger. Päivän aikana esitellään laajasti ilmavoimien ja Satakunnan lennoston toimintaa sekä maassa että ilmassa. Esillä on myös varusmieskoulutus ja sen eri vaihtoehdot Ilmavoimissa. Esityslennoilla nähdään mm. Hornet, Pilatus sekä ilmavoimien taitolentoryhmä Midnight Hawks. Toimintaansa on esittelemässä myös muita Ilmailun ammatteihin kouluttavia tahoja sekä erilaisia maanpuolustuksen parissa toimivia yhdistyksiä.
