Released in 1976, disco classic Nice and Slow was written by Ken Gibson. It comes from Jesse Green’s album Nice and Slow. Green scored an international disco hit with a remix of his Nice and Slow. It topped first place in Belgium and the Netherlands in the hit parades. In the United Kingdom Nice and Slow was listed for 12 weeks and reached the number 17 position. In addition, the record also sold well in Italy, Spain and France. In the United States, it took the number 1 position in the Billboard's Disco list.
Reggae and disco musician Jesse Green, was born as Locksley Alphonso Green, 5 July 1948 in St. James, Jamaica. Green was a member of The Pioneers and drummed with Jimmy Cliff in the 1970’s, before launching a solo career in 1976.
