Peggy Sue Got Married Buddy Holly baldyholly

Buddy Holly recorded the song Peggy Sue Got Married on 5th December 1958, in his New York apartment. This song was part of several that were recorded as basic demos for possible future studio use. The song was suggested to him by his father, who thought it a good idea to write a sequel to the smash hit Peggy Sue, who had incidentally gotten married to Buddys former bandmate and drummer, Jerry Allison. Buddy accompanied himself on his brand new Custom built Guild acoustic guitar. Sadly Buddy was to go on the road as part of the Winter Dance Party and get tragically killed. Thus, he was never to re-record this song and the track was later overdubbed in a style thought close to Buddys.
