FROM THE ASHES
Lyrics:
There's no difference
Between the breath we take
And the hearts we break.
Sometimes it seems like it's written.
Just listen to your heart.
Open your eyes and tear it apart.
Do you feel it?
There's something crashing down.
Do you believe it?
Are you ready to drown?
Do you see it?
There's a handful of sorrows
And no one seems to recognize.
Know what it's like to touch your scars?
I am drowning my sorrows right there at the bar.
I'll give my liver and my heart to analysis
Maybe they'll find out what's wrong with us.
This glass isn't empty and this glass isn't full.
There are only cullets - more than a handful.
Do you feel it?
There's something crashing down.
Do you believe it?
Are you ready to drown?
Do you see it?
There's a handful of sorrows
And no one seems to recognize.
Sunrise and sunset do not differ a lot.
I'm looking down at a handful of shattered plans.
It just doesn't matter anymore.
Give me a handful of ashes
And I'll blow it away.
Someday I'll stop praying to the moon.
Someday it will crash down to earth.
Give me a handful of ashes
And I'll blow it away.
