Paul Schrader Q&A: "The Canyons" World Premiere

Film legend Paul Schrader visited The Film Society of Lincoln Center for the world premiere of his latest film "The Cayons" in FSLC's Walter Reade theater. In a Q&A following the screening, Schrader discussed the film's unorthodox approach to funding and production, "hookup culture", and the sensation that is Lindsay Lohan. The film, with a screenplay by novelist Brett Easton Ellis, revolves around cunning movie producer Christian (played by porn star James Deen) who makes films to keep his trust fund intact. Complicating matters is his off kilter actress/girlfriend (Lindsay Lohan), who is hiding an ongoing affair with an actor from her past. Christian discovers the truth, which thrusts the battling couple into a violent and sexually charged odyssey.
