PAUL LEWIS : Beethoven Piano Concerto # 3 in C minor - HALLE ORCHESTRA

A virtuoso performance by pianist Paul Lewis as he plays plays Beethoven's 3rd. piano concerto in C minor. The venue is the 2010 BBC Proms and Lewis is the only performer to have played them all in ONE season! And bravo to the exceedingly deserving applause the audience gave him after the FIRST movement. This so called 'rule' that has been applied to limit applause in classical concerts, it seems now, for eternity hopefully has had its ending; particularly if the performer is worthy of it. In the case here of Mr. Lewis, it is all the more apropos. The Halle Orchestra is splendidly conducted by Mark Elder.
