This is equivalent to a 24-70mm lens on a full frame DSLR. The constant aperture is a plus and it lets in more light than the 14-42mm kit lens. Optical image stabilization works nicely and assists when hand-holding and for panning shots. The negatives about this lens are it produces too much lens flare which can be distracting and it is hard to achieve a nice shallow depth of field.
