RPM WAP7 lead 12606 Karaikkudi Chennai Egmore Pallavan superfast express arrives and departs Villupuram junction amidst a mix of trains and locomotives either resting or going about their business. It was running about 40 minutes late. This station is one of the important stations in the Southern Railways where lines from Katpadi, Chegalpattu,Puducherry,Mayiladuthurai and Vriddhachalam meet.
