Learn to paint a quick a Fall Landscape using Watercolor Pen & Ink. Using the palette I created for Sterling Edwards workshop, which I took a few week ago, I paint a quick Fall landscape inspired by Fall on Donner Lake by Truckee, CA where I live.
I am painting on an inexpensive 140 lbs. watercolor block (reviewed in this video: https://youtu.be/z05Ki1yMY3Q) using a Micron permanent ink pen to sketch with, and my homemade masking fluid (made from Speed Sew mixed with water) to mask out the foliage and Aspen trunk, before I paint in the background. I used scrunched up cling wrap to mask out the foliage - check it out, it worked like a charm!
Colors Used:
Cobalt Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Royal Blue, Burnt Sienna, Van Dyke Brown, Paynes Grey, Winsor Orange, Winsor Orange Red Shade, Nickel Azo Yellow (Transparent Yellow), Quinacrodone Coral.
