Overwatch: The "I've Got Gold Medals!" Fallacy

Gold medals, like kill death ratio in other games, don't always tell the whole story about your Overwatch Gameplay. Your play may be disabling the main DPS of your team, just to get gold medals in a role that shouldn't get them. Or, if you pick a spammy DPS like Soldier or Junkrat, it may be easy to be the "top damage" of your team (keeping in mind 4 of 5 of your teammates should be tank/support) but you may not be getting the kills that are required to win get man-advantage and win. Overwatch doesn't have very useful statistics actually, the only stat that matters is the W or the L column, so don't hide behind your medals!
