Overkill Bass Cover

"Day after day it reappears Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear Ghosts appear and fade away..." Lynn and I are going to see Colin Hay at The Paramount Theater in Peekskill, NY this evening, so what better reason could there be for me to post this cover I did a while back. The song is “Overkill” by the band “Men at Work” and is off their second studio album, Cargo, which came out in 1983. One of the early bands I was in covered 5 or 6 of their songs, including this one, and I have to admit that I always liked their music. I think Colin Hay has a great voice and that he had a knack for coming up with some pretty catchy vocal melodies. I’m really only familiar with the material from their first two albums, they faded away pretty quickly after that. The bass was played by Jon Rees who was alright in my book because he played a MusicMan.
