Overclocking Your Monitor With NVidia Control Panel

It's time to learn how to overclock monitors! So you want to get the most FPSs out of your machine to game a little faster maybe game a little stronger. Well with all that extra power we need it to result in an refresh rate that justifies the effort we go through to beef up our computers.
So I don't shell out the dough for high priced monitors. What I do instead is apply an the max OC to my monitors just like I would to my cpu or gpu so I can run my games to the max. Also, as a side note I run resolution scaling for awesome in game image quality rather than paying for the actual pixels of a monitor with a greater resolution. So even though my displays are actually 1080p, I have basically the same gaming experience as someone else running 1440p @ 75hz. Now it's not quite as baller as 120hz or more, but it sure is nice to get the most out of what I have and game a little stronger than my competitors. So in this video I'll show you how fast I can get my refresh rates up to and how you can OC yours too.
Just for complete disclosure and so you have an idea where I'm coming from, the monitors I use in this video and for daily driving are the AOC i2757 and I am able to pump the refresh rate up to 75hz which is a 25% overclock over stock on two out of three of them. There is an odd duck in the bunch and it will only go up to 74hz. Well that is with only changing the clock rate without any manual tuning of the timings.
