Outdoor living - dementia style

How NoosaCare designed four outdoor rooms that provide the culture, lifestyle and environment, familiar to the person with dementia who lives in Noosa. Noosa folk are a tribe of outdoor people. We swim in the ocean before work and walk our dogs along the river in the evenings. We hike through the rainforest in Noosa National Park on the weekend, after visiting the local farmers markets. It was important that the Outdoor Rooms reflected this and so four distinct outdoor rooms were created: Beach, Rural, Rainforest and River.
