Check out the 1 ohm mono continuous power output test of the Orion 250 HCCA Digital Reference! Internet myths claim 800-1000W, so what is the true "maximum continuous power output at 40Hz with less than 1% THD"? Watch this video to find out. My test uses power resistors and should mimic the Certified Mode of the AD-1 Amp Dyno.
The Orion 250 HCCA spanned six generations over approx. 14 years beginning in 1987. The fifth generation or "G4" was the first 250 HCCA to be rated at 1 ohm mono from Orion (and it was rated at 800W). Earlier generations were only rated to handle 2 ohm mono or 1 ohm stereo loads. This this test proves the amp is most powerful and efficient at 2 ohms mono.
Watch to see my overview of this sub and also watch it flex to some bass music!
