On cam: Youth attempts suicide during Maratha reservation agitation

A youth attempted suicide by jumping into Godavari river in Aurangabad during the Maratha reservation agitation. The incident was captured on the camera. Maratha organizations have demanded a halt to Maharashtra government’s drive to fill 72,000 posts in the state in two batches of 36,000 each. The Maratha organizations care carrying out protests across Maharashtra to press their demands. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has promised 16 per cent reservation for Maratha community out of 72,000 vacancies in the state government.
