Olympus vs. Voigtlander: 17mm lens shootout ( micro four thirds review )

In today's episode we have a lens shootout between the Olympus 17mm f/1.8 and the Voigtlander 17.5mm f/0.95 for micro four thirds cameras. I was interested in both these lenses because of their semi-wide angle (34mm & 35mm equivalent), fast apertures and the fact they are made for the m43 mount. The Olympus is a well made ALMOST pancake size lens with the famous Olympus focus clutch, sharp optics, and fairly fast aperture. The Voigtlander is a true low light monster with a mega fast F/0.95 aperture and hefty all metal construction. Aspects of the lens I tested for: 1. Minimum Focus Distance 2. Bokeh 3. Lowlight Performance 4. Sharpness Don't worry, there is plenty of test footage. Especially for lowlight. I think the results here may suprise you.
