Olympus presents the lens of 12-200 mm f / 3.5-6.3 with 16.6x zoom for cameras without a mirror.
Olympus has announced the new telephoto lens M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-200 mm f / 3.5-6.3 for Micro Four Thirds cameras. The lens has a 35mm equivalent focal range of 24-400mm for a 16.6x zoom, the largest magnification available for mirrorless cameras.
Users will experience excellent representative performance across the focal length, from wide-angle to telephoto, combining high-speed, high-precision autofocus in a surprisingly compact and lightweight way. The 12-200 mm features a robust dust-proof and splash-proof body, which matches well with Olympus OM-D cameras.
Other features and specifications include a minimum focus distance of 22 cm, a maximum magnification of 0.46x equivalent to 35 mm, an MSC mechanism compatible with movies and still images for a fast, smooth and silent autofocus during video, short time lapse shooting, and ZERO coating to reduce the phantom effect and reduce flares.
