Old Valdez

A visitor explores the old town of Valdez, Alaska, and examines the devastation caused by the 1964 Good Friday earthquake. Structures include the Pioneer Hall, the Pacific Whaling Company building, the old cable office, Hotel Valdez, houses, boats, Valdez Sheet Metal Works, Gilson's, and the church. The city was moved to its new and current location, four miles down the road, following the earthquake.(Color/Silent/16mm film).
