Officer Jeremy N. Henwood- San Diego Police Officer, United States Marine Captain (reserves), Son, Brother, friend, HERO! San Diego police officer Jeremy Henwood was shot by an assailant Saturday, August 6, 2011 and died of his wounds the following day. He was hit by a shotgun blast while sitting in his patrol car. Bystanders came to his aid and helped officers quickly track down the shooter. Henwood, 36, was a 4-year police veteran who served with the Marines in Afghanistan. Officer Henwood was laid to rest 8-12-2011 When you see a police officer, what do you see? I see a man/woman, a father/mother, son/daughter, brother/sister, who puts on a uniform each day, pins on their badge and is willing to walk out their door from their family each day, put their life on the line to protect the community we live in. Jeremy did just that, except, he never made it home that day, at the end of his watch. He gave his life to protect and serve the people around him. A true HERO! Thank you Officer Henwood. May you be resting in peace Next time you see a Police Officer, think about this video clip, then thank them for their service. http://www.facebook.com/markshaffer1 http://www.facebook.com/chopperthebikerdog
