Limpopo fractures yet another old Russian standard. I matched it with photos of... Odessa, of course. Odessa remains a swaggering cosmopolitan city, still faithful to its Russian roots. Odessa, along with Nikolaiev, Sevastopol, and Dneprpetrovsk, is still a city of the Empire, relatively uninfluenced by the Little Russian hinterland. These cities (in their modern forms) were founded for strategic or industrial reasons by the tsars with a predominately Great Russian population.
