NJY MEMORIAL LECTURE 2018_ ICFAI UNIVERSITY MEGHALAYA_TURA_PART1

ICFAI University Meghalaya, Tura Campus organised N J Yasaswy Memorial Lecture ‘ 2018 at its main campus on the 10th October’2018. The lecture was organised to commemorate The Founder of ICFAI group Lt. Shri N J Yasaswy (1950-2011). The Chief guest of the Program and the lecture on “ Beginning and Expansion of Education in Garo Hills “ was delivered by Dr Milton S Sangma, former Pro Vice Chancellor NEHU and ICFAI University Meghalaya. The program begins with the welcome note and a song by the students of the University. A brief biographical profile of Late N J Yasaswy was presented by Mr Buddhadev Prasad, administrative officer. Dr Sangma in his lecture enlightened the history and development of education in Garo hills, and how Education institutes have come into being in the region. He also motivated the students to focus on the knowledge of their subjects as simply possessing the degree is not enough. The program was concluded by another motivational and thanks giving speech from Mrs Viola Sonachi B Sangma, the Dean of the University.
