Нижний Новгород фотограф Максим Дмитриев Это посвящен Наташе, чья родной город Нижний Новгород Nizhny Novgorod Photographer Maxim Dmitriev Here I present an album of photographs of the city of Nizhny Novgorod taken at the turn of the last century by the Russian photographer, Maxim Dmitriev. The photographs of the Great Flood in Nizhny Novgorod at the end of the video are from 1896. Dmitriev was the founder of the journalistic genre of photojournalism and a member of the Russian Photographic Society. Born in 1858 he moved to Nizhny Novgorod in 1877 and took a job in the photographic studio of A.A. Karelin. In 1887 he opened his own studio in Nizhny Novgorod . He travelled extensively along the River Volga, shooting landscapes, cities and scenes from everyday life. he also achieved awards for his photographic exhibitions in Paris, Amsterdam, Chicago & New York.
