The club was started on May 19th 2001. Since then it has been continued without interuption, meeting almost every Saturday in the year (with exceptions such as Christmas.) The laughter club is virtually the oldest club in Sydney, Australia. The club meets every Saturday at Camperdown Memorial Park in Newtown at 10am, near the corner of Federation and Australia Streets. The club is free and there are no formalities such as the need to tell anyone your coming, signing up, dues etc. It is a free community service, using the healing power of laughter for mutual upliftment.
