Performed by TwoSet Violin - Brett Yang (Violin), Eddy Chen (Violin), and Sophie Druml (Piano)
Leading German musicologist Dr Johannes Müller-Schmidt of the Leipzig Bach Foundation has recently discovered and restored a formerly lost Bach concerto written for two violins. The restoration of the work was created from surviving manuscripts under the bed of Bach's second wife, Anna Magdalena Bach, in their former estate in Leipzig. According to notes on the title page of the manuscript, it is believed that their cat was the dedicatee, to whom the concerto was dedicated.
